Company Background

As the first licensed domestic life insurance company in Ohio, Union Central Life Insurance Company was founded in 1867 by Dr. John Pascal Paoli Peck.

By 2002, Union Central was conducting business in the District of Columbia and in all 50 states. This allowed Union Central to be named one of the 10 largest mutual insurance companies in the nation.

In 2006, after a merger with The Ameritas Acacia Companies, UNIFI Mutual Holding Company was formed which offers a mix of investment and life insurance products.
